GySgt Theodore Clark Jr of Emporia, Va was killed by an IED while on a combat mission
in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Bn.

Lance Cpl. Dale G. Peterson, 20, of Redmond, Ore., died April
23 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Lance Cpl. Johnathan Kirk, 25 of Belhaven, NC died 1 May
from wounds sustained on 23 April. Both Peterson & Kirk were assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd
Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

SSgt. William J. Callahan, 28, of South Easton, Mass.
& SSgt. Peter Woodall, 25, of Sarasota, Fla. died April 27 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province,
Iraq. Both Marine EOD techs were assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary
Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Both Marines were posthumously promoted to SSGT.
SSgt Callahan is our first MCEA member to be Killed
in Action. Our Assistance Fund committee is working with the family to provide assistance.
